The Rockets got off to a strong start, and with Paul moving gingerly and Dwight Howard beasting early in the first quarter, Houston got out to an 11-8 lead. But the Clippers quickly got their act together, with Paul assisting on the next five consecutive baskets. A J.J. Redick triple knotted things up at 11, and the Rockets never led again. Paul and Blake Griffin got re-acquainted right off the bat, running the two-man game to produce a thunderous Griffin jam early in the first quarter.

Blake Griffin was up to his usual tricks in the first quarter of Game 3, hooking up with the newly returned Chris Paul and throwing down a monster dunk on the Houston Rockets. He looked well on his way to another one in the second quarter, leaking out for a fast break that offered him a clear runway to the hoop.

Chris Paul's return from a hamstring injury was supposed to be the story of Friday night's Game 3 between the Clippers and Rockets. Paul would resume his reign as Point God, and relegate temporary fill-in and occasional punch line Austin Rivers to his rightful place on the bench.

Jason Terry of the Houston Rockets was ejected in the fourth quarter of Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Los Angeles Clippers after this stunt on Blake Griffin. Terry was removed from the game with eight minutes left in the fourth and could be hearing from the league office in the near future.
